Moving In The Right Direction

When our Days for Girls SW Boise Chapter started our efforts to put free period products IN girls' bathrooms in Fall 2022, we were lucky enough to meet John Nothdurft, the ISSA Director of Government Affairs, who just happens to live in Caldwell! ISSA is the worldwide cleaning association and John has been instrumental in promoting their End Period Poverty campaign. During that same time, he met Avrey.

John supported both of our organizations in the 2023 efforts to pass HB313, the bill that would provide period products and dispensers/containers in ALL girls' bathrooms in the State of Idaho. As most of you know, the bill failed in a 35-35 vote. But we are not done!

John also attended the Idaho Period Project's Annual 2024 Gala event. The person on the right with John and Avrey is Claire Coder, who founded Aunt Flow after getting her period in public without the supplies needed. Please view this website to see what Claire and the team at Aunt Flow is doing to support menstrual health and equity

"by menstruators, for menstruators"

We will continue to work with our partners to promote menstrual health and equity in our schools. As both of our organizations continue to move forward school by school in our efforts to supply FREE period products in ALL girls' bathrooms in the State of Idaho, let's remember that:
